White Christmas Applications

White Christmas applications will be accepted at the Ellijay Lions Club Main Building on Saturday, November 11, 2006 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. This will be the only day that applications will be accepted. You must apply in person. You will need a photo identification card ( A drivers license, a picture id from work or a government issued picture id will be acceptable.); You will need to provide your monthly income information; your monthly expense information; the number of children you have in the home - their name, age (We do have an age limit of 16 years old) and it would be helpful to know what they need/want for Christmas (If clothing, we need size and color preferences.) We will ask how many adults live in the home and if you have a need for food. You cannot be accepted if you do not follow these guidelines and you cannot pick up your items without a photo identification and the voucher that will be mailed to each family approved for assistance.

White Christmas Donations

If you would like to make a monetary donation to the White Christmas Fund you can mail a check payable to The Ellijay Lions Club to the address below. We do publish an advertisement of thanks to the people and businesses that support our efforts, if you prefer to remain anonymous, please place a note to let us know in with your contribution. We served over 220 families with more than 600 children last year with the help of the generous contributions of our community! Thank you!

The Ellijay Lions Club will be stationed at several places around town to collect donations for the White Christmas Program on the following dates:

Saturday, November 11th         9:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Saturday, November 17th         9:00 am to 6:00 pm

Friday, December 1st               9:00 am to 6:00 pm

Saturday, December 2nd          9:00 am to 6:00 pm

Our locations will be: Wal-Mart at Highlands Shopping Center; Old Wal-mart (Old Orchard Square) near Burger King;  Food Lion Grocery Store and Ellijay Ace Hardware
